Intarya were commissioned by a private client to design the interior
of Celestial Hope, a 47-meter semi-displacement motor yacht built by Heesen Yachts. The brief was to create an elegant and sophisticated interior with a residential feel, inspired by the beautiful beach houses
of the Hamptons.

As our first yacht project, we wanted to make our mark with an innovative and inventive approach that contrasts with other more conventional boat interiors. We worked closely with the shipyard to create architectural details that set the scheme apart from the competition. Our designs for the ceilings, mouldings, skirtings and architraves, combined with the bespoke furniture and embellished decorative elements, created a very memorable interior.

We used white lacquer finishes on the ceilings and walls, designed bespoke ironmongery and sourced materials that one does not expect to find on a yacht. A blend of contemporary and classic elements was used throughout the scheme, such as Venetian mirrors, verre églomisé, moulded resin and hand-carved timbers.

We were honoured with five international yacht awards, including “Queen of the Show” by Yacht Design in 2009. In 2010 the yacht received the World Superyachts award in the category of Best Semi-Displacement or Planning Motor Yacht in the 40m+ size range.
