Knightsbridge Apartment, London

Intarya were asked to create a sophisticated interior for this apartment, located on a gated road by Hyde Park, in Knightsbridge, London.

French ‘Moderne’ influences were combined with more contemporary elements to create a handsome interior of understated luxury. Intarya designed the striking internal doors and joinery elements with white glossy lacquers and richly stained Ebony and Ebony Macassar veneers. This dramatic contrast gave the scheme a sense of masculinity, whilst the exquisite textiles and colour palette convey a softer ambience.

Of prime importance to our client was the integration of the latest technology which was to be masked wherever possible. This allowed the more decorative elements such as the rock crystal chandeliers, star burst veneers ands distressed metal finishes to draw the eye.

Polished plasters, suede-panelled walls and the layering of contrasting materials, textures and shapes add to the elegance and sense of style, resulting in a very personal, tranquil and sumptuous home.
